Resignation of Chief Executive Officer and Appointment of Acting Chief Executive Officer
In accordance with paragraph 6.39 of the Debt Listing Requirements, the Bank of China Limited (“the
Bank”), being the parent company of BOC Johannesburg Branch, advises that Dr Tao Li has resigned
as the Chief Executive Officer of BOC Johannesburg Branch and has been replaced by Mr Huaiyu
Chen who has been appointed as the Acting Chief Executive Officer with effect from 26 February
2021.
Dr Li will be returning to China and has confirmed that he has no disagreement with BOC
Johannesburg Branch. The Bank expresses its sincere gratitude to Dr Li for his contributions during
his tenure.
