RESIGNATION OF COMPANY SECRETARY
In compliance with the Debt Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, Umgeni Water would like to bring
to the attention of its debt investors, the resignation of its company secretary, Mr Sbusiso Madonsela,
having concluded the process for the acceptance of his resignation by the Board of Umgeni Water. Mr
Madonsela leaves Umgeni Water at the end of March 2021.
To ensure there is a smooth transition, Umgeni Water has appointed Advocate Tshepo Maake to take
over the reins while a permanent replacement is sought. Advocate Maake has been with Umgeni Water
for a number of years, as the Senior Manager: Legal Services. The Company is confident that he has
adequate experience to ensure the governance systems of Umgeni Water are maintained.
A further announcement will be released once the appointment of a permanent company secretary has
been concluded.
