DISCLOSURE OF BENEFICIAL INTERESTS IN SECURITIES IN MTN GROUP
On 09 July 2021, MTN Group received a notification of disclosure from
Prudential Investment Managers (South Africa) (Pty) Ltd advising that
due to an internal restructuring, resulting in M&G Plc now being the
majority shareholder (50.12%) of Prudential Portfolio Managers SA
group and also a 100% shareholder of M&G Investments UK, the total
of all beneficial interests held by M&G Plc/Prudential Investment
Managers (on behalf of their underlying clients) is now 5.26% of the
issued ordinary share capital of MTN Group.
This disclosure is in terms of section 122 of the Companies Act 71
of 2008, as amended and Regulation 121 of the Companies Regulations,
2011 and paragraph 3.83(b) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements.
