CHANGE TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the JSE Listings Requirements, shareholders are advised of the
following change to the board of directors of AEEI ("Board"):
Mr Membathisi Mdladlana has been appointed as an independent non-executive director to the Board
with effect from 27 August 2021. Mr Mdladlana holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University
of South Africa with majors in Education and isiXhosa and is a qualified teacher. He founded and
chaired the South African Democratic Teachers Union (SADTU), is a previous Minister of Labour, and
chaired the Governing Body of the International Labour Organization, to name a few of the many
positions Mr Mdladlana held throughout his career.
