Notification of an acquisition of beneficial interest in Imperial securities
In compliance with section 122(3)(b) of the Companies Act, 71 of 2008 ("the
Companies Act"), Regulation 121(2)(b) of the Companies Act Regulations 2011
and paragraph 3.83(b) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements,
shareholders are advised that the Company has received notification from
Investec Limited of an acquisition by Investec Markets Proprietary Limited,
a subsidiary of Investec Limited, of Imperial ordinary shares, such that
Investec Limited now holds 5.0153% of Imperial’s total issued ordinary
shares.
The Company confirms that, as required in terms of section 122(3)(a) of the
Companies Act, it has filed the required notices with the Takeover
Regulation Panel and that, to the best of its knowledge and belief, the
information supplied by Investec Limited is complete and consistent.
