WITHDRAWAL OF CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT: BANKRUPTCY OF MYBUCKS
Shareholders are referred to the cautionary announcement dated 16 February 2022 (and using the terms
defined therein) relating to the bankruptcy of MyBucks.
In terms of the bankruptcy procedure, a court-appointed Receiver has assumed full control of MyBucks. In
accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards, Afristrat will no longer have control of MyBucks
and will therefore be deconsolidated and rerecorded at its fair value as an investment associate in Afristrat’s
financial results.
The Company has thus completed its assessment on the impact of MyBucks’ bankruptcy on its financial
results and concluded that it will not have a material impact. Accordingly, caution is no longer required to be
exercised when dealing in the Company’s securities.
