APPOINTMENT OF COMPANY SECRETARY
In accordance with paragraph 6.39 of the JSE Debt Listings Requirement, noteholders are advised that
Adv Maseapo Kganedi has been appointed as company secretary to the IDC with effect from
1 May 2022.
She holds a B Proc Degree, LLB as well as an LLM in Corporate Law qualifications all of which were obtained
from the University of Johannesburg. In addition, she has the Chartered Institute of Secretaries
qualification from the Chartered Governance Institute of Southern Africa.
Maseapo is an admitted Advocate of the High Court of South Africa and her career spans over 25 years
predominantly in the public sector at both local and national levels and in various legal advisory and
company secretarial roles. She currently holds the position of Group Company Secretary and Head of
Risk, Governance and Compliance at South African Tourism. Her previous experience as an Advisory Panel
Member for the Gauteng Provincial Government, Legal and Corporate Secretariat Manager (Eskom
Pension and Provident Fund), coupled with her experience obtained at the Department of Arts and Culture
in the capacities of Deputy Director General: Institutional Governance and Chief Legal Counsel/Legal
Advisor to the Minister, will be of great value to the Corporation. Furthermore, Maseapo spent
approximately ten years in various Legal Advisory roles for the Departments of Economic Development
and Human Settlements.
The Board is satisfied that Adv Kganedi possesses the competence and experience to fulfil the role. Adv
Kganedi will take over from Ms. Rapoo who has been the Corporation’s Company Secretary since
15 February 2021 and will leave the employ of the IDC with effect from 30 April 2022.
The Board would like to thank the outgoing company secretary, Ms. Rapoo for her contribution during
her tenure with the IDC.
