VOLUNTARY UPDATE ANNOUNCEMENT RELATING TO THE ACQUISITION OF SELECT BUSINESSES FROM
MASSMART HOLDINGS LIMITED (“MASSMART HOLDINGS”)
The voluntary announcement relating to the Company’s acquisition of select businesses from Massmart Holdings
dated 20 August 2021 refers; terms capitalised in this announcement shall have the same meaning as defined in
the aforementioned announcement.
Shareholders are referred to the announcement released on the Stock Exchange News Service by Massmart
Holdings. The Company is pleased to announce that the Competition Commission has recommended the approval
of the Transaction, subject to certain conditions im posed on both merging parties. The matter is now being
considered by the Competition Tribunal.
