CHANGES TO THE BOARD
In compliance with paragraph 3.59(a) and (b) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, the
AfroCentric Board of Directors (“the Board”) hereby notifies shareholders that Mr Jurie
Strydom has resigned from the Board, with effect from 20 June 2022.
The Board would like to thank him for his invaluable contribution to the Group and wishes him
well.
The Board also hereby notifies shareholders that Ms Kanyisa Mkhize has been appointed to
the AfroCentric Board as a Non-Executive Director with effect from 20 June 2022. Ms Mkhize
will also serve on the Group’s Social & Ethics Committee.
Ms Mkhize is the Chief Executive Officer of Sanlam Corporate. She is a strategic leader with
more than 15 years’ experience in life insurance, management and business planning. Ms
Mkhize is a qualified Actuary and received her qualification from the Actuarial Society of South
Africa in 2010. She is an MBA graduate from Columbia Business School and holds an Honours
Degree in Business Science from the University of Cape Town.
The Board congratulates Ms Mkhize on her new appointment and looks forward to her
contribution to the Group going forward.
