RESIGNATION OF EXTERNAL AUDITOR
In accordance with the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, a listed company is required to
advise shareholders once it receives notice from its external auditor of its resignation.
Chrometco hereby advises shareholders that its external auditor, Moore Cape Town Inc.
(“Moore Cape Town”) has resigned as external auditor of the Company with immediate
effect.
The reasons for Moore Cape Town’s resignation are that, in their view:
1. a self-interest threat exists that cannot either be addressed or mitigated to an acceptable
level of risk; and
2. the engagement is classified as high risk and they are unable to adequately address this
level of risk in their audit planning and approach.
Moore Cape Town’s resignation will unfortunately have a negative impact on the release of
Chrometco’s reviewed provisional results and annual financial statements for the year ended
28 February 2022. The board of the Company will advise shareholders once it has made a
decision with regards to the appointment of a new external auditor and the expected timeline
of release of the abovementioned results.
