APPOINTMENT OF INDEPENDENT NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
The Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Robert Collins as an independent Non-Executive
Director of WHL with effect from 1 October 2022, given his experience in having spent over 27 years at John
Lewis Partnership Plc holding various management roles including e-commerce director, retail director and
most recently until 2020 managing director of Waitrose and member of the John Lewis Partnership board
and executive committee.
As Managing Director of Waitrose, Rob lead a business of 50 000 people with a turnover of GBP 6.5billion
across 350 grocery stores, a rapidly growing online channel and a successful export business.
Rob will also serve on the WHL Group’s Risk and Compliance Committee. The Board confirms that his
appointment is being made in accordance with the WHL Appointment of Directors Policy and looks forward
to welcoming Rob to the Group.
