CHANGES TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of JSE Limited, the
board of directors of Purple Group (“the Board”) hereby notifies its shareholders of the
appointment of William Bassie Maisela as an independent non-executive director
effective from 31 August 2022.
Bassie is the Chief Executive officer of NBC Holdings (Pty) Ltd ("NBC"), the first black-
owned employee benefits company in South Africa. NBC pioneered the establishment
of defined contribution funds, a trend that accelerated during the late 1980s and early
1990s. Bassie brings with him an in-depth understanding of the retirement industry
and all the related services and product offerings, along with an extensive network.
The Board welcomes Bassie onto the board and look forward to his contribution.
