COMPLETION OF THE DISPOSAL OF SANLAM’S OPERATIONS IN LARGE STAND-ALONE
RETIREMENT FUND ADMINISTRATION
Shareholders are referred to the announcement released by Sanlam on the Stock Exchange
News Service of the JSE Limited on 6 December 2021, regarding the disposal by Sanlam Life
Insurance Limited of its large stand-alone retirement fund administration (the “EB Stand-alone
Administration Business”) operations to Alexander Forbes Financial Services (Proprietary)
Limited, an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Alexander Forbes Group Holdings Limited
(“Alexforbes”) as a going concern (the "Transaction").
The board of directors of Sanlam wish to advise shareholders that all of the suspensive conditions
to the Transaction are now fulfilled and the parties will therefore proceed to implement the
Transaction in accordance with its terms. The effective date of the Transaction is 1 November
2022.
