CHANGE TO IMPORTANT FUNCTION OF A DIRECTOR AND BOARD COMMITTEE MEMBERSHIP
CHANGE
In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the JSE Listings Requirements, the FirstRand board of directors is pleased
to announce the appointment of Dr SP Sibisi as the lead independent director of the board with effect from
2 December 2022.
Dr Sibisi was appointed to the FirstRand board in April 2021 and currently serves as an independent
non-executive director on FirstRand’s risk, capital management and compliance committee (RCCC), the IT risk
and governance committee and the social, ethics and transformation committee. He will also be appointed as
chairman of the FirstRand directors’ affairs and governance committee with effect from 2 December 2022.
