APPOINTMENT OF CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER AND EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
In compliance with paragraph 3.59(a) of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited,
shareholders are advised that after following an extensive recruitment process, the board
of directors (Board) has approved the appointment of Mr. Siphamandla Mthethwa as Chief
Financial Officer (CFO) and Executive Director of ArcelorMittal South Africa with effect
from 1 July 2023, or sooner if circumstances permit.
Mr Mthethwa is a qualified CA(SA) and has completed the Advanced Management
Programme at the Harvard Business School and the CFO Executive Programme at
Stanford University Graduate School of Business. He has more than 20 years financial
experience, which includes significant experience as a financial executive with broad
strategic and financial leadership responsibilities.
During his career he has fulfilled senior management and executive leadership roles and
is currently the CFO and executive director at the Airports Company South Africa SOC Ltd
(ACSA).
Ms Suretha van Wyk, who acted as Interim CFO pending the appointment of a permanent
CFO, will accordingly continue in that role and step down when Mr. Mthethwa assumes his
position.
The Board congratulates Mr Mthethwa on his appointment and looks forward to his
contribution.
