Update on Temporary Closure of Bakubung Platinum Mine Due to Unprotected Strike
Shareholders are referred to the announcement released on SENS on 24 July 2023 advising
that Bakubung Platinum Mine (“BPM”) had temporarily closed since 20 July 2023, and that it
will remain closed until further notice, due to safety concerns caused by the ongoing
unprotected strike.
Shareholders are hereby advised that BPM remains closed and that the unprotected strike
continues. Management is working tirelessly to resolve the matter and is engaging with
relevant stakeholders, to find an amicable solution. BPM remains committed to addressing the
concerns of the employees, while also safeguarding the interests of our valued shareholders.
The Company will continue to update shareholders and investors on any developments, and
a further announcement will be made in this regard.
