FURTHER TRADING STATEMENT
In terms of the Listings Requirements of JSE Limited, a company must publish a trading statement as
soon as it is satisfied that a reasonable degree of certainty exists that the financial results for the
current reporting period will differ by at least 20% from that of the prior reporting period.
Further to the initial trading statement released on SENS on 20 June 2023, shareholders are now
advised that the Company expects to report for the year ended 30 June 2023:
• basic and diluted earnings per share (“EPS”) of between 26.9 cents and 29.7 cents,
representing an increase of between 88% and 108% compared to the EPS of 14.3 cents for the
year ended 30 June 2022 (“FY2022”); and
• basic and diluted headline earnings per share of between 29.6 cents and 31.3 cents,
representing an increase of between 440% and 460% compared to the basic and diluted
headline loss per share of 8.7 and 8.6 cents respectively, for FY2022.
Shareholders are advised that the information on which this trading statement is based has not been
reviewed or reported on by the Company’s auditor. City Lodge’s results for the year ended 30 June
2023 will be released on SENS on or about 8 September 2023.
