FINALISATION OF ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING THE DECLARATION OF THE SPECIAL DIVIDEND
Shareholders and noteholders are referred to the announcement released on SENS on Tuesday,
05 September 2023, in which the Board of directors (“the Board”) of Santam advised that it approved and
declared a special gross dividend of 1 780 cents per ordinary share, which special dividend was subject to
the required South African Reserve Bank (“SARB”) approval being obtained for the declaration of same.
Shareholders and noteholders are hereby advised that SARB approval for the declaration of the special
dividend has since been obtained. Accordingly, the salient dates and timelines for the payment of the special
dividend are as follows:
Last day to trade cum dividend: Tuesday, 03 October 2023
Shares trade ex-dividend: Wednesday, 04 October 2023
Record Date: Friday, 06 October 2023
Payment date: Monday, 09 October 2023
Share certificates may not be dematerialised or rematerialised between Wednesday, 04 October 2023, and
Friday, 06 October 2023, both days inclusive.
