Final Redemption
Holders of the listed SBRN02 Equity Index Linked Notes (“the
Notes”) which are redeeming on 20 October 2023 are informed that
the level of the Index was determined and calculated on
10 October 2023 as 2947.38.
Following this determination and calculation holders of the
Notes are advised as follows:
1. Option 1: Holders of the Notes who elected not to follow
Option 2 or Option 3 mentioned in the SENS Announcement of
27 September 2023, but elected rather to roll their
investment in SBRN02 Notes into a new Market Multiplier Note
(“SBRN46”) will receive for each SBRN02 Note that is rolled
into SBRN46 Notes (ISIN ZAE000327953) 1.5221 SBRN46 Notes
(ISIN ZAE000327953) per SBRN02 Note, which will be allocated
and delivered to their custody accounts on 20 October 2023.
2. Option 2: No holders of SBRN02 Notes have elected option 2
mentioned in the SENS Announcement of 27 September 2023.
3. Option 3: Holders who elected not to roll the investment
into SBRN46 (that is, not to follow Option 1), but elected
to instruct Standard Bank to sell the ETFs on behalf of the
holders of the Notes and pay the redemption amount of such
sale of the ETFs to the holder of the Notes, will receive
on 20 October 2023 an amount of ZAR1 522.08 or 152 208 South
African cents per Note held by them on the Record Date.
After the issue and delivery of the SBRN46 Notes (Option 1)
on 20 October 2023 or payment of the sale proceeds of the
ETFs (Option 3) on 20 October 2023, the Notes (SBRN02) will
be de-listed from the JSE on 23 October 2023.
