SHAREHOLDER ENGAGEMENT

Shareholders are advised that Shoprite Holdings will be hosting a series of shareholder
engagement sessions in advance of the Company's annual general meeting ("AGM") to
be held on Monday, 13 November 2023.

The purpose of these sessions is to facilitate engagement between non-executive
directors and shareholders, with specific focus on matters pertaining to the non-binding
advisory resolutions relating to the remuneration policy and the implementation thereof
which will be tabled at the AGM for shareholder approval, as set out in the Company's
integrated reporting suite of documents available on the Group website at
https://www.shopriteholdings.co.za/reports.html.

The engagement sessions are scheduled for 25 and 26 October 2023. Shareholders
wishing to participate in these sessions are requested to please register their interest to
attend by emailing cosec@shoprite.co.za by Friday, 20 October 2023.

We further request any concerns or questions with regards to the matters outlined above
be submitted to the company secretary in writing to cosec@shoprite.co.za by close of
business on Friday, 20 October 2023.
