SHORT-FORM ANNOUNCEMENT IN RELATION TO THE UNAUDITED CONDENSED INTERIM
FINANCIAL RESULTS FOR THE SIX MONTHS ENDED 30 SEPTEMBER 2023

Shareholders are advised that the Company's unaudited condensed interim financial results for the six
months ended 30 September 2023 were published on SENS on 30 October 2023
("Full Announcement").

Financial highlights

The financial results for the six months ended 30 September 2023 when compared to the six months ended
30 September 2022 ("the Comparative Period"), are set out below:

    -   Net asset value per share (ordinary and preference shares) decreased by 30.7% to R12.23 per
        share from R17.64 per share for the Comparative Period.

    -   Headline earnings and basic earnings per share (ordinary and preference shares) decreased by
        593 cents per share to (243) cents per share from 350 cents per share for the Comparative Period.

    -   Revenue decreased to R1 511 369 from R21 692 836 for the Comparative Period and net profit
        before tax decreased to a loss of R120 854 853 from a profit of R179 113 559 for the Comparative
        Period.

    -   No dividend has been declared in respect of the current or Comparative Period.
