In terms of section 6.17(c) of the Debt Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, investors are advised of the
below restatements in the Annual Financial Statements (refer to note 31 of the Notes to the annual financial
statements):

Expected credit losses on inter-company assets

The expected credit losses on the inter-company assets of R2.1bn were incorrectly included in the Fair value
adjustments, capital items and other charges line item (where it was separately disclosed in note 4.2 of the
annual financial statements) and not on the face of the Statement of profit or loss and other comprehensive
income, as required by IAS 1 Presentation of Financial Statements. There was no impact on total
comprehensive income for the year or other primary statements. This has been corrected by restating the prior
year numbers in the company financial statements.
