BORROWING AND GUARANTEE LIMITS APPROVED BY THE NATIONAL TREASURY
DETAILS ANNOUNCED FOR THE END OF E-TOLLS IN GAUTENG
Further to the announcement published by SANRAL on SENS on 28 March 2024, noting, inter alia,
that SANRAL and the National Treasury ("NT") have finalised a memorandum of agreement in terms
of which the NT will cover 100% of SANRAL's debt, the NT has approved SANRAL's application for
borrowing and guarantee limits until 31 March 2028 as follows:
• Total approved borrowing limit of R16,5 billion;
• of which R7 billion is guaranteed.
Further, today SANRAL, together with the Minister of Transport and the Premier of Gauteng,
conducted a joint media briefing at Central Operations Centre, Midrand, announcing final details for
the end of e-tolls in Gauteng. The media briefing can be accessed on the following link
