BRAIT PLC UNBUNDLING: CLOSING PRICES OF BRAIT AND ETHOS CAPITAL SHARES ON RECORD DATE
Shareholders are referred to the various announcements released by Ethos Capital on the JSE's
Stock Exchange News Service ("SENS") regarding the unlocking of value for shareholders of Ethos
Capital and the intention to unbundle the ordinary shares in Brait PLC ("Brait") to the Ethos Capital
shareholders.
As per the applicable JSE Limited Corporate Actions Timetable the Company advises that on
Friday, 19 July 2024, the JSE closing price of the Brait ordinary shares amounted to R0.94 per share
and of the Ethos Capital ordinary shares amounted to R3.94 per share.
As outlined in the announcement issued by the Company on Thursday, 18 July 2024, for South
African tax purpose the base cost of each Ethos Capital ordinary share must therefore be reduced
by R0.47806. This amount is calculated based on the distribution ratio of 0.50857 multiplied by
the closing price of the Brait ordinary shares of R0.94 on the Record Date.
