Amendments to the JSE Listings Requirements
Market Segmentation
The JSE made amendments to the JSE Listings Requirements dealing with Market Segmentation
which originated from the JSE Consultation Paper (JSE Listings Review) issued in May 2022.
The JSE is pleased to announce that the Financial Sector Conduct Authority published the approval
of the amendments to the JSE Listings Requirements in the Government Gazette through Board
Notice 649 of 2024, with the effective date as 23 September 2024. The JSE welcomes application for
the General Segment from Monday, 23 September 2024.
The JSE is attending to certain administrative processes and will communicate the effective launch
date of the General Segment to sponsors.

The JSE is working with its publisher to prepare a new Service Issue to the JSE Listings
Requirements, as it relates to these amendments.
