CONVERSION OF US DOLLAR DEPOSITS INTO RAND
All of Trencor's US dollar offshore deposits, as well as the US dollar deposits previously
held by an escrow agent on behalf of and for Trencor's benefit, have been remitted to
South Africa and converted into SA Rand.
The conversion of the US dollars in the amount of US$74,20 million yielded R1,39 billion
at an average rate of R18,7796.
These funds are currently held on deposit in interest-bearing instruments with South
African commercial banks.
The board is continuing to receive advice in relation to the most effective manner to wind
up the Company and related matters. Once the board has received the advice it requires,
the board will make a determination on the process it wishes to follow and will advise
shareholders accordingly.
