NO CHANGE STATEMENT AND NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
In compliance with section 3.22 of the JSE Listings Requirements, shareholders
are advised that Corpcapital posted its annual financial statements for the year
ended 31 August 2003 to members on Wednesday, 24 December 2003, The information
previously published in the reviewed preliminary report is unchanged, except for
the following:
1. THE "REVENUE" LINE IN THE INCOME STATEMENT DIFFERED AS FOLLOWS:
- Press announcement: 2003 R1 452,9m
- 2002 R1 531,5m
- AFS: 2003 R1 551,0m
- 2002 R1 650,2m
This change in figures was due to a misallocation of interest paid with
interest received and also the exclusion of interest paid from the
calculation of Revenue for the purposes of the AFS.
2. THE LAYOUT OF THE BALANCE SHEET
- Non current and current assets and liabilities have been separately
disclosed in the annual financial statements, whereas in the press
announcements they were stated as globular numbers.
- "Policy holders" interests in Corpcapital Life have been included in
both Non current assets and Non current liabilities.
The changes reflected above are not material in nature.
Notice is hereby given that Corpcapital"s annual general meeting of shareholders
will be held in the main board room, Ground Floor, 2 Arnold Road, Rosebank,
Johannesburg, 2196 at 10:00 on Thursday, 22 January 2004 to transact the
business as stated in the notice
The notice of the annual general meeting was circulated together with the
circular dated 24 December 2003, to shareholders regarding the proposed
distribution, a conversion of treasury shares and the amendment to the company"s
articles of association.
