Further Announcement relating to the delay in publication of Fairvest"s annual
results
Further to the announcement published on 22 January 2004, the directors of
Fairvest wish to inform shareholders that the annual financial results for the
year ended 30 September 2003 will now only be published during February 2004.
Due to the sudden serious illness of the partner in charge of the audit of
Fairvest, the auditors, Grant Thornton, have had to allocate new personnel to
complete the assignment. Completion of the audit is expected in the next few
weeks.
The JSE Securities Exchange South Africa has informed the company that the
shares of the company will be suspended from Monday, 2 February 2004 until such
time as the results are published.
The transaction whereby Fairvest intends to dispose of its entire property
portfolio to Alpina Investments Limited is continuing and the circular will be
sent to shareholders as soon as practicable.
