THABEX - MOKOPANE PLATREEF PROJECT RESOURCE REVIEW COMPLETED
AIM Resources Ltd ("AIM"), a Junior Mining company listed on the Australian
Stock Exchange (ASX Code - AIM) reported on 15 January 2004 that Snowden Mining
Industry Consultants ("Snowden Mining") has completed the resource review
estimate of the Mokopane Platreef Project ("Project") and confirmed an in-situ
global resource of >1 million ounces Pt equivalent using a long-term nickel
price of US$8000/tonne (US$3.60/lb).
Snowden Mining has also been appointed by AIM, as part of its due diligence to
complete an independent geological and valuation of the Project. AIM also
reported that a legal and financial due diligence is being completed and a
decision to proceed with Project is expected in the next few weeks.
Thabex shareholders will be advised immediately if and when AIM exercises its
option, as set out in the SENS announcements of 22 October 2004 and Thabex"s
interim results dated 26 November 2003, to acquire 100% of the issue share
capital of Platinexco for R20million from Thabex.
Platinexco"s Prospecting Permit(PP2003/49) has been renewed on 5 December 2003.
