Results of offer announcement
Alacrity shareholders are referred to the circular to Alacrity shareholders
dated 20 November 2003, which contained, inter alia, details of the offer
extended by Pamodzi Ukuvikela Investments (Pty) Limited ("Pamodzi") to all
Alacrity shareholders other than Pamodzi and Alacrity Financial Investments
(Pty) Limited, the holder of 13 038 970 Alacrity shares held as treasury shares,
to acquire all or any of their Alacrity shares at an offer price of 52 cents per
Alacrity share ("the offer").
On the closing date of the offer, being Friday, 30 January 2004, acceptances of
the offer had been received from Alacrity shareholders holding in aggregate 38
025 259 Alacrity shares, resulting in Pamodzi increasing its holding to 79,3% of
the issued share capital of Alacrity.
The listing of Alacrity"s ordinary shares will be terminated with effect from
the commencement of business on Tuesday, 3 February 2004.
