CHANGE IN NAME
The board of directors are pleased to announce the following;
In order to more fully reflect Explorer"s new corporate identity and the
underlying nature of business, the board of directors propose to change the name
of the company to Industrial Credit Company Africa Holdings Limited, with an
abbreviated name ICC, from commencement of business on Monday, 15 March 2004.
The company already has two subsidiaries, indirectly and directly held,
operating under the names Industrial Credit Company (SA) (Proprietary) Limited
and Industrial Credit Company Limited in Zambia.
The general meeting of Explorer shareholders to approve the transaction will be
held in the boardroom at 10h30 on Thursday 26 February 2004 at the company"s
registered address.
The results of the general meeting approving the change of name will be
announced on SENS on Thursday, 26 February 2004 and in the press on Friday, 27
February 2004.
The last day to trade in the name of Explorer Friday, 12 March 2004.
Commencement of trading in new name Monday, 15 March 2004
and the record date will be Friday, 19 March 2004
Dematerialised shareholders will have their
accounts at their CSDP or broker updated on Tuesday, 23 March 2004
In respect of all certificated shareholders, new
share certificates will be posted on or about Tuesday, 23 March 2004
Share certificates in the name of Explorer may not be dematerialised or re-
materialised after Friday, 12 March 2004.
