TRADING STATEMENT AND CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT
Shareholders are advised that Intervid intends releasing its results for the six
months ended 31 December 2003 no later than 18 February 2004. Shareholders are
advised that these results will reflect a substantial improvement by way of a
reduction of both the net loss and the cash usage when compared with that
reported in the comparative six-month period in the prior year ("substantial"
being a difference greater than 30%, as defined in the JSE Securities Exchange
South Africa Listing Requirements). This is due to the success of the
turnaround initiatives, which are being implemented at Intervid.
Notwithstanding this improvement, considerable work is still required to
complete the turnaround.
The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been
reviewed or reported on by Intervid"s auditors and shareholders are therefore
advised to exercise caution when trading in Intervid"s shares until the results
are published.
