Sanlam appoints new non-executive director
The Board of Sanlam Ltd. today announced that it has appointed Prof Wilmot James
as non- executive director in an existing vacancy. Prof James will join the
Board with effect from 1 March 2004.
Prof James, a former Dean of Humanities at the University of Cape Town and
Executive Director of the Institute for Democracy in SA, is an Executive
Director of the Human Sciences Research Council. He also serves as Chairman of
the Immigration Advisory Board to the Minister of Home Affairs and he is a
trustee or director of a number of organisations, including the Ford Foundation
of New York and the Impumelelo Innovations Awards Programme.
