Report-back of the A-Prop Board"s sub-committee appointed to examine and report
on factors contributing to the loss in value of A-Prop units
At the A-Prop Board meeting held on 25 September 2003, a sub-committee ("the sub
committee") was appointed by the A-Prop Board to examine and report on factors
contributing to the loss in value of A-Prop linked units since listing,
including the original basis on which the fund was established and the
subsequent decline in net asset value.
The sub-committee"s report has been finalised and submitted to the A-Prop Board.
The A-Prop Board has accepted the sub-committee"s report without amendment.
Copies of the subcommittee report are available at the company"s registered
office, 1st Floor, African Harvest House, Freestone Park, 135 Patricia Road,
Sandton, 2196.
A summary of the conclusions made by the sub-committee as to the loss in value
of A-Prop linked units since listing and the subsequent decline A-Prop"s net
asset value as well as a summary of the recommendations made by the sub-
committee to the A-Prop Board has been published over the Securities Exchange
News Service (SENS).
A meeting will be held at Grant Thornton, 137 Daisy Street, cnr Grayston Drive,
Sandown on Thursday, 26 February 2004 at 16h00 at which the sub-committee report
will be presented in greater detail. The company"s directors and advisors
involved in the compilation of the report will be available at the presentation
to respond to any queries. All shareholders, debenture holders, business
partners and other stakeholders in the company are invited to attend.
