TRADING STATEMENT AND CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT
It is expected that the group interim results for the six months ended 31
December 2003 will show a substantial improvement on the results of the previous
comparative period, being the six months ended 31 December 2002,
("substantially" being greater than 30% as defined in the Listings Requirements
of the JSE Securities Exchange South Africa).
The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been
reviewed or reported on by the group"s auditors. Shareholders are therefore
advised to exercise caution when dealing in Clientele Life securities until the
publication of its results early in March 2004.
