In accordance with section 3.59 of the listings requirements of the JSE
Securities Exchange SA, shareholders are advised that Mr PJ (Peter) Maybury will
be retiring as Chief Executive Officer of Barloworld Scientific Group Limited
later this year.
In addition, shareholders" attention is drawn to the announcement that was
released earlier today by Pretoria Portland Cement Company Limited ("PPC"), a
subsidiary of Barloworld Limited advising that Mr PJ (John) Blackbeard, Chief
Operating Officer of PPC has been appointed to succeed Mr Maybury.
The Company will release details of any further changes to the board and
effective dates in due course.
