Additional cautionary announcement
Investec Bank Limited is authorized to announce that Primedia is at an advanced
stage of negotiations, the outcome of which may have a material effect on the
price of the company"s shares. These negotiations are unrelated to the
previously announced proposed acquisition of certain of the media assets of
Nail, in terms of which cautionary announcements were published on 2 October
2003, 14 November 2003 and 24 December 2003. Accordingly, shareholders are
advised to continue to exercise caution in dealing in their Primedia shares
until a further announcement has been made.
