TRADING STATEMENT AND CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT
In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Securities Exchange South
Africa ("JSE Listings Requirements"), companies are required to publish a
trading statement as soon as they become aware that the financial results for
the period to be reported on next will be materially different from that of the
previous corresponding period.
As previously announced, Kolosus has changed its financial year-end from 30
April to 31 December, as a result of which Kolosus will be publishing financial
results for the eight-month period ended 31 December 2003.
These results are expected to be published towards the end of March 2004.
It is expected that there will be a substantial decrease in loss per share and
headline loss per share for the eight months ended 31 December 2003 in
comparison to the losses of the financial year ended 30 April 2003. In terms of
the JSE Listings Requirements, "substantially" is defined as a decrease of more
than 30%.
As the above information has not been reviewed or reported on by the company"s
auditors, shareholders are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the
company"s shares until publication of the financial results for the eight-month
period ended 31 December 2003.
