ANNOUNCEMENT DATED 13 JANUARY 2004
Trading statement
In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Securities Exchange South
Africa ("the JSE Listings Requirements"), a listed company is required to
publish a trading statement as soon as it becomes aware that the financial
results for the next period to be reported on will be materially different from
those of the previous corresponding period.
It is expected that headline earnings per share for the half year ending 31
March 2004 will be materially higher than those of the previous financial year
ended 31 March 2003. The JSE Listings Requirements defines "materially" as an
increase or decrease of between 10% and 30%.
In addition, shareholders are advised that it is expected that headline earnings
per share for the year ending 30 September 2004 will be substantially higher
than those of the previous financial year ended 30 September 2003. The JSE
Listings Requirements defines "substantially" as an increase or decrease equal
to or greater than 30%.
Cautionary announcement
As the above information has not been reviewed or reported on by Reunert"s
auditors, shareholders are advised to exercise caution when dealing in Reunert"s
securities until the release of the announcement of Reunert"s financial results
for the 6 months to 31 March 2004 which are expected to be published on or about
18 May 2004.
Withdrawal of cautionary announcement
Shareholders of Reunert are referred to the cautionary announcement published on
SENS dated 13 January 2004 and are advised that, as negotiations have currently
been suspended, caution is no longer required to be exercised by shareholders
when dealing in their securities.
