THABEX - AIM INTENDS TO EXERCISE OPTION ON THE MOKOPANE PLATREEF PROJECT
AIM Resources Ltd ("AIM"), a Junior Mining company listed on the Australian
Stock Exchange (ASX Code - AIM) announced today that it intends to exercise its
option to acquire Thabex"s Mokopane Platreef Project ("the Project") held in
wholly owned subsidiary, Platinexco (Pty) Ltd ("Platinexco"), subject to
finalising its due diligence and funding arrangements.
Snowden Mining Industry Consultants ("Snowden Mining") has completed a valuation
of the Project on behalf of AIM. Snowden Mining valued the Project at A$18
million or R97,2 million at A$:R5.40.
Thabex shareholders will be advised immediately when AIM exercises its option,
as set out in the SENS announcements of 22 October 2003 and Thabex"s interim
results dated 26 November 2003, to acquire 100% of the issue share capital of
Platinexco for R20 million from Thabex.
