RESULTS OF THE DIVIDEND REINVESTMENT ELECTION
Shareholders are referred to the announcement dated 5 March 2004 and the
circular dated 16 February 2004 regarding the option to elect to use the
proceeds of the cash dividend ("the reinvestment election") to subscribe for new
ordinary shares in Anglo Platinum ("the subscription shares"). Shareholders are
advised that the election closed on Friday, 19 March 2004.
Elections were received in respect of 1 677 431 subscription shares. These
shares have been issued with effect from commencement of business on Tuesday, 23
March 2004. The total number of Anglo Platinum ordinary shares in issue and
listed on the JSE subsequent to the subscription shares is 217 097 209.
An aggregate amount of R99 877 239 was paid in respect of the cash dividend.
Dividend cheques and, where applicable, share certificates will be posted to
certificated shareholders (at the risk of such shareholders) on Tuesday, 23
March 2004. Dematerialised shareholders will have their safe custody accounts
with their CSDP or broker credited and/or updated with the subscription shares
and or the cash dividend on Tuesday, 23 March 2004.
