Offer to acquire a portfolio of properties from the Lyons Corporate Lease
Fund Limited ("LCLF"), a subsidiary company of Lyons and further cautionary
announcement
Further to the cautionary announcement published in the press on Thursday,
18 March 2004, Lyons shareholders are advised that the board of directors of
Lyons ("the Lyons board") has received offers in writing from Growthpoint
Propeties Limited and Metboard Properties Limited to acquire a substantial
portion of the portfolio of properties owned by the LCLF, a subsidiary
company of Lyons, subject to a number of suspensive conditions being
fulfilled ("the proposed transactions").
The Lyons board is in the process of evaluating the terms of the proposed
transactions. Accordingly, Lyons shareholders are advised to continue to
exercise caution when dealing in their Lyons shares until such time as a
further announcement is made in this regard.
