Further to the announcement dated 12 December 2003, Investec Bank Limited is
authorised to announce that the sale by Pick `n Pay of its interest in
Boardmans, ("the sale") to Edgars Consolidated Stores Limited ("Edcon") after
being approved by the Competition Commission, has become unconditional.
