Further to the cautionary announcement issued on 8 March 2004, with regard to
the sale of all its shares to the Salene Consortium, the Company has been
informed by Impala Platinum Holdings Limited ("Implats") that Barplats Holdings
(Pty) Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Implats, has agreed to extend the
date for fulfillment of the conditions precedent, to 20 April 2004 as provided
for in the sale agreement. The agreement does not provide for any further
extensions.
There can be no assurance that the conditions to the sale agreement will be
fulfilled. Accordingly, shareholders are advised to continue to exercise caution
in dealing with the Company"s securities until a further announcement is made.
