TRADING UPDATE AND CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT
Shareholders are advised that headline earnings per share for the interim period
ended 31 March 2004 will be materially higher ("materially" being an increase
between 10% and 30% as defined in the revised JSE Securities Exchange South
Africa Listings Requirements) than those of the prior comparative period.
The results for the six months ended 31 March 2004 have not been reviewed and
reported on by Paracon"s auditors, and shareholders are therefore advised to
exercise caution when dealing in Paracon"s shares until the results for the six
months ended 31 March 2004 are released on or about 14 May 2004
