Disposal by AFGRI Limited ("AFGRI") of the 50% equity interest in Earlybird Farm
(Proprietary) Limited ("Earlybird") to Astral Foods Limited ("Astral") and
Withdrawal of Cautionary
Further to the cautionary announcement dated 27 February 2004 and the detailed
announcement dated 9 March 2004, shareholders are advised that a Sale of Shares
Agreement and a Feed Supply Agreement have been concluded between AFGRI, Astral
and Earlybird, relating to the disposal of AFGRI"s 50% equity interest in
Earlybird.
The disposal however remains subject the approval of the disposal by the
Competition Authorities of South Africa.
As a result of the above, caution is no longer required to be exercised by
shareholders when dealing in their securities.
