RESULTS OF RIGHTS OFFER
Merchant Sponsors (Proprietary) Limited is authorised to announce the results of
the rights offer to Glotec ordinary shareholders in the ratio of 6 new ordinary
shares ("new Glotec shares") for every 1 ordinary share held, at a cash
subscription price of 2 cents per new Glotec share ("the rights offer").
At the close of the rights offer on Friday, 16 April 2004, Glotec ordinary
shareholders, their renouncees, transferees and the underwriters of the rights
offer have subscribed for an aggregate of 2 432 284 169 new Glotec shares,
equivalent to 91,81% of the total number of new Glotec shares offered in terms
of the rights offer. Safe custody accounts of dematerialised Glotec shareholders
have been credited with the new Glotec shares and share certificates have been
mailed to certificated Glotec shareholders on Monday, 19 April 2004. All excess
applications have been allocated in full.
