New appointments to the board
The board of Spectrum Shipping Limited announced the appointment of three non-
executive members at its annual general meeting on 15 April 2004.
They are Sandile Zungu, Chief Emmanuel Lediga and Moses Tembe.
Zungu (36) is chairman of Denel, South Africa"s state-owned arms manufacturer,
Barnard Jacobs Mellet Holdings Limited, a JSE-listed stock broking firm as well
as Africa Vanguard Resources and Zungu Investments Company (ZICO), the holding
company of his business interests. He is a non-executive director of several
other companies.
Zungu features in the Financial Mail"s Little Black Book profiling South
Africa"s 300 most influential black business persons and is a member of the
World Economic Forum in his capacity as Global Leader for Tomorrow.
Chief Lediga (37) is non-executive chairman of Legae Securities (Pty) Ltd, a
stock broking firm at the JSE Securities Exchange South Africa, while Tembe is
an entrepreneurial shareholder and director of various businesses in retail,
tourism, shipping and marine engineering sectors.
