Further cautionary announcement
Further to the cautionary announcement issued on 31 March 2004, with regard to
the sale of all its shares to the Salene Consortium, the Company has been
informed by Impala Platinum Holdings Limited ("Implats") that Barplats Holdings
(Proprietary) Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Implats, has been provided
with the requisite bank guarantee securing the purchase price of the shares
being sold.
The shares, as previously advised, were sold at R 2,10 per share. The
transaction remains subject to the approval of the Competition Commission.
It is anticipated that the conclusion of the transaction will result in a
mandatory offer being made to the other shareholders of the Company.
Shareholders are advised to continue to exercise caution in dealing with the
Company"s securities until a further announcement is made.
