TRADING STATEMENT AND CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT
In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Securities Exchange South
Africa ("JSE Listings Requirements"), companies are required to publish a
trading statement as soon as they are aware that the financial results for the
period to be reported upon next will be materially different from that of the
previous corresponding period.
Astrapak is currently finalising its results for the year-ended 29 February
2004, which are expected to be released on 4 May 2004.
Astrapak advises that, in terms of the JSE Listings Requirements, it is required
to issue a trading statement in respect of its headline earnings for the year-
ended 29 February 2004 as it expects its headline earnings to materially
increase for the year-ended 29 February 2004. In terms of the JSE Listings
Requirements, "materially" is defined as an increase or decrease of between 10%
and 30%.
CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT
The above information has not been reviewed or reported on by the Company"s
auditors. Shareholders are therefore advised to exercise caution when dealing in
the Company"s securities until the publication of the Company"s results for the
year-ended 29 February 2004.
